Alberto Gallo awarded with the PhD thesis prize of the Doctoral School of Physics and Materials Science of Aix-Marseille University   

During the annual ceremony, organised in Luminy on June 13th 2019, Alberto Gallo was awarded with the PhD Thesis Prize of the Doctoral School of Physics and Materials Science (352) of the Aix-Marseille University.

Alberto started his Philosophy Doctorate in Physics at the IRFM in October 2014 within the "Divertor and Plasma-Wall Interaction" group (GDIPP) under the supervision of Nicolas Fedorczak and Philippe Ghendrih. He then successfully defended his thesis titled "Impact of the plasma geometry on the divertor power exhaust in a magnetic fusion reactor" in January 2018.

The whole IRFM congratulates him, his supervisors and the GDIPP group for this important achievement!
