Axel Jardin rewarded for his thesis by his Doctoral School

Axel Jardin has received the prize for the best theses of the Doctoral School "Physics and Sciences of the Matter" of Aix-Marseille University.

This IRFM PhD student who defended his thesis in December 2017 studied the effect of transport of impurities on their radiation in the plasma core, and the application to the reconstruction of the tungsten density with the soft X-ray diagnostic (GEM) of WEST. His thesis "Soft X-ray measurements for impurity transport studies in tokamak plasmas" was rewarded in June with prize from his Doctoral School.

Axel Jardin has been working for a few months at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ-PAN) in Krakow.
